I appreciated its supper friendly and amazingly nice employees.
Had a very lovely time. The place deserved 3 stars. I have stayed in double room for 2 nights, it was complete with seaview as well as shower. The service was friendly and the food was OUTSTANDING. The beach bar was excellent.

Holbox Dream was the perfect hotel us! It is right on the beach, the rooms are not fancy but are very clean. We loved the seashell shower! The fact that it doesn't have a restaurant/bar was a non-issue since it was only a short walk to town - and gave us the opportunity to support some of the local food vendors. We WILL go back to Holbox some day and our first choice of hotels will be Holbox Dream.

Lovely and excellent room, exceptionally comfortable bed. A pretty nice area, marvellous location next to the beach and town and Holbox centre and $ 100 all in from door to door with ferriy and private taxi included to Cancun.

We stayed at holbox dream for 2 nights. We arrive at 8.30 pm on the first day and reception was closed. A sheet of paper told us in what room we where assign to. Nobody was here to guide us, explain where to go or how to reserve the excursions. Th location is great but the price is way too expensive for the quality. We stayed for 2 other friends. For the same price they had a great room with locker and a view on the beach while we were in the last room near a unoccupied house. On the 2nd night I let my swimbath outside like everybody else : on morning they had disappeared ! The isle is beautiful but the hotel too expensive...

A bowl of water (changed, fresh daily) outside the door to each room - for washing sand off your feet before entering - might be a good idea. Other than this it was very nice thanks.

Great location, 3 blocks (on the beach) from the main drag, nice terrace on rooftop. No restaurant on site, so..no coffee right in the morning, but mapaches 50 yards (beach walk) from the hotel offers a great breakfast with homemade bread and jams, and great omelets. Keep your key at all time, as the reception closes for lunch! Clean and spacious room for Holbox, at the price we paid, a great stay!
The hotel should informed the traveler, (specially when the "said- traveler" called twice prior arrival!) that there is a charge of 5 % for payments made by credit card. If you had a great price through Booked.net, do not expect your little bottle of purified water to be replaced, and the second day! A bit cheap considering that no tap water can be used, even to brush your teeth. Edwin (lonely receptionist) was very friendly. There is a lack of presence of management or owners, which render the Mawimbi, much more charming.

Not recommended for families seeking luxury
I even picked the "PREMIUM DOUBLE ROOM" cause they advertised it well, but when I arrived, they handed me the key to room #7 instead of #11. The only good thing was the view from the room, but it was frustrating thinking I paid for something special and getting. Well. Pretty much the opposite.
It wasn't exactly a bargain either.

I liked the fact it was close to restaurants and downtown, that it was on the beach and our second story room overlooked the ocean. The beach was kept clean of seaweed that washes up on shore. The staff was very helpful
The only problem was the biting insects that weren't repelled by insect repellent, but that is just Holbox

would stay here again without hesitation
The standard queen room had air conditioning, a private bathroom, and free toiletries. Breakfast included a variety of options like fresh fruit and pastries. Beach access was super close, with sun loungers ready. The hotel is just a stroll away from the main pedestrian road with plenty of dining spots and shops.
